Learn to use images from new European Space Agency satellite – SENTINEL 2A

Updated: Dec 18, 2018

Dear Colleagues,

Picture above is one of the first images from recently (2015) launched European Space Agency satellite Sentinel 2A.

As in the case of LANDSAT, images from Sentinel 2 satellite are FREE and now with even better spatial resolution (10 meters), spectral resolution (13 bands) and temporal resolution (revisit time is now 10 days and soon it will be 5 days). They can be used in geology, agriculture, forestry, environmental protection and others fields of science.

In order to enable you usage of such free data in science, both Sentinel 2A a LANDSAT 8, we have developed course for you in which you will learn in 6 online hours basic of remote sensing, basic of GIS with QGIS (it is possible to use ArcGIS) and basic of satellite images manipulation.
